Pharmatech Appoints Asian Operations Executive

Chat Kwan has been appointed vice president of Asian Operations for Pharmatech Associates. Mr. Kwan has been developing Pharmatech’s business in China and will be responsible for leading the firm’s ongoing projects in Asia.

Mr. Kwan has 30 years of experience and has completed complex pharmaceutical process projects in China, France, Korea, Japan, Mexico and the U.S., and designed manufacturing equipment and process systems for a state-of-the-art solid dosing plant in Puerto Rico. He previously served as director of facility operations for Gilead Sciences, where he managed a one million-sq.-ft. corporate campus housing more than 1,000 employees, including research chemists and biologists, clinical development, IT and API pilot plants.
